Took more than half an hour, and a long line formed behind. They went ahead and printed the contract, including a prepaid fuel tank, super cover, and all sorts of extras. The process was slow. After waiting in line for an hour, they told us that our prepared international driving permit and translated driver's license were not acceptable for renting a car in Italy. It's confusing because the same documents worked perfectly fine in France!

Car collection took a very long time, well over an hour. Luckily the Firenze staff member greeting us was extremely helpful. The car itself was not great - a button on the fob unlocks the boot and if you are not aware of this then the boot can fly open - happened to us on motorway and those following us were very lucky to avoid collision. Avoid Fiat Qubo!
