The car model was clearly not as advertised! Very disappointing!

I had a reservation to pick up the car at 3 PM. I called the rental company at 9 AM to confirm if there were any issues with the pick-up. To my surprise, they said there were no cars available and that my reservation had been canceled! This was shocking as all my plans, including hotel and flight tickets, were already booked, and I had six pieces of luggage with three people. It would have been impossible to move around without a car in a foreign country. Fortunately, the customer service at the rental platform was very responsible and quickly arranged another car. However, instead of the Mercedes C-Class I had paid for, I got a Mercedes A-Class. Even though they promised a refund for the difference, driving a smaller car with a lot of luggage for four days was quite inconvenient. I can only describe the car rental company HERTZ as 'terrible,' and I advise everyone to be cautious when renting from HERTZ in the future.

The delay was half a day. I asked the store how much extra I would need to pay for a half-day delay, and they told me it would be the price of an additional day. When I got to the store, the price for that extra day was nearly 60 pounds. If they had told me this high price earlier, I wouldn't have chosen to be late. It's a rip-off.

So far the experience is good. Not sure if there are any violations.

We were a little over an hour past the pickup time and they had returned the car to inventory. It took 90 minutes for a new car to arrive and it then had 1/2 tank of diesel but since we did not see the car before getting in I signed it was full as that was what the driver said. We did get £30 refund for the half tank of car upon return.
