It's acceptable. Renting a car in North America is honestly easier than in Europe for a foreigner. It's good.

The renewal price is double the normal rate, and once you renew, it cannot be canceled or changed, which is a very unfair policy.

Very friendly attitude, high efficiency, short waiting time. The reserved car model wasn't available, so they replaced it with a Toyota Camry, which was in great condition.

We went to two AVIS rental points, and all the attendants were from the Middle East with very poor attitudes. The car broke down on the road the next day, and we waited by the roadside for a full 4 hours before a tow truck arrived after we made the call. Although they replaced the car for free, the new car had much lower specifications. Very disappointing. Despite Zuzuche repeatedly emphasizing that AVIS rentals only require a Chinese second-generation driver's license and no translation, the local AVIS refused to rent to us without a translation. In the end, we had to switch car rental companies to resolve the issue.

The service people at the pick up were rude and unfriendly since 2 women were picking up the car! To the men in front of us they were more than friendly including giving free upgrades! Vehicle had to be taken back after 6 days due to technical difficulties! Had to drive to two different cities to accomplish this! Frustrating!!
