My flight arrived in New York early in the morning, and there was only one person at the counter handling car rentals. This person was not familiar with the procedures at all. I had to wait in line for two and a half hours, and it took three hours in total before I could finally drive away.
The front desk guy was not very enthusiastic, which is understandable since it's a night shift. However, the lady at the car pickup area was very helpful, answered all my questions, and even called me 'baby.'
