A European couple went to negotiate, and they were upgraded without any argument. However, when I went to negotiate, seeing that we were Chinese, they asked us to continue waiting. It took over an hour of back and forth. When I wanted to extend the rental period at the counter, they impatiently told me to call. The additional day was calculated at the full, non-discounted rate, which wasn't cheaper than Hertz. Overall, it didn’t feel very friendly. Additionally, they required a translated driver's license, while Hertz doesn't.

I reviewed the car rental notice several times, which required us to return the car with a full tank to avoid unnecessary charges. However, when the rental company authorized a pre-authorization, they charged an upfront fuel fee. Regardless of whether you return the car with a full tank or not, they will levy the prepaid fuel charge. Now, I am asking Zuzuche (the rental platform) for this money back, but they have been delaying for a month without any response. Can't Zuzuche refund me first? If the rental company doesn't refund me, will Zuzuche also not refund me?
