Due to the pandemic, we were given a hard time by other rental companies in Paris, but Hertz was very friendly and rented a car to us. To show my gratitude, I upgraded the vehicle. However, due to changes in our return schedule, we needed to switch to a different drop-off location and exchange the car earlier. Firstly, contacting their customer service by phone was very difficult. Secondly, there were errors in the final bill. Nevertheless, after communicating with QEEQ customer service, the extra charges were refunded.
Firstly, the rental car counter at Paris airport is unbelievably slow; we waited a full hour and a half before it was our turn. Secondly, the counter staff didn't care about the car you reserved; they just kept pushing you to rent more expensive cars. We ended up with a car costing 1300 RMB per day. Finally, when we returned home, we were greeted with traffic fines totaling 3000 RMB, very frustrating!
The service attitude is acceptable, but the hidden fees are high. 1. The 20% tax is not mentioned in advance; 2. The provided GPS hasn't been updated for 31 months, some routes are not found, and some lead to wrong-way entries; 3. The GPS caused unnecessary detours, leading to exceeding the daily mileage limit, which is very high at 0.84 Euros per kilometer. It's outright robbery. Never using this company again.
