I informed them from the beginning that I rented the car for five days and wanted to return it at the normal time on the fifth day, not so early. They kept saying I only rented the car for four days and the fifth day was complimentary. They refused my request initially and only agreed after lengthy communication and presenting the order (since it was in Chinese, we had to talk for a long time in English).
The rental company promised Chinese language support, so I didn't purchase the Chinese service from the car rental platform. However, it was useless because neither side's English was good enough. The car transferred to me was a Mitsubishi and a diesel, which I only discovered the next day. But the car was very new and easy to drive.
When returning the car, they lifted the spare tire compartment to check, but the staff did not show us this check when we picked up the car. They thought we damaged the spare tire and we had to wait 15 minutes for a senior staff member to confirm it wasn't us. It wasted a lot of time and scared us. We've never had to check the spare tire when renting a car before, and they didn't mention it beforehand. This is very unfair.
