Called ACE previous to the pick up and asked about adding an extra driver (wife) for the duration of the hire period, was told that this was free.
Upon collection, was informed that the above was not the case and that a $2 per day fee was to be charged, not a major, however just need consistency between counter and calling staff information.
The car handled really well but only after the lane control was turned off.
It would be good if customers were advised about the lane control system and how to turn it off as it was terrible to drive through the winding hill roads with it on. The car interior was dirty and should have been cleaned before hiring it out.
We did wait a long time to get a vehicle as the customer ahead did not have the correct booking information to hand and held up proceedings, and there was only one customer service rep serving at the time. The car had not been cleaned since the last rental, but the car performed as expected.
The car I picked didn’t have navigation system so I had to charge my iPhone while I was watching google map through cigarette socket.
