The car wasn't picked up at the airport; we had to take their shuttle bus to a nearby store to get the car. When we arrived at the airport, their store was too crowded, so they asked us to come back to the airport counter in 20 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes at the counter for the shuttle bus to take us to the store to pick up the car.
AVIS's service was excellent! We had a minor accident during our self-drive trip, and they handled it quickly and efficiently. They even provided a replacement car. When we returned the car at Bangkok Airport, they gave us a special ride to the terminal.
I wasn't expected to pay 8000 baht as a deposit and it came as a surprise. And now that I return the car with no damage, they need 15 to 30 days to refund me. This is unacceptable
The car they gave me was in very poor condition. There were a lot of scratches and a couple of dent around the vehicle. The interior was very dusty and dirty. The rear windscreen was covered with a layer of dust.
Overall condition was very poor.
