“Bad experience with Avantcar in Skopje - Do not use”

I would not use Avantcar in Macedonia. We were put under a huge amount of pressure to take additional insurance cover. We felt we had no choice, statements like "well if anything happens you are on your own to deal with policy, paperwork ...". We gave in and bought the extra insurance and then got nothing written from them outlining what was actually covered just a laminate to take a photo of.

QEEQ are good to use. We used them in America, Macedonia and already booked for Croatia.
The car company in Ljubljana only had Mercedes and a bit bigger than the car I have booked. Honestly, I do not wanted to rent a bigger car in Europe due to the narrow streets and parking space is just not a great place to have a bigger car to park anywhere, so I wasn’t happy w when the staff told me that they don’t have anything smaller than the one we rented. I was extreamly careful w parking the car everywhere I go, so i didn’t have any scratch or dent when I returned the car, but when I rent the car there, staffs were a bit irritated and wanted to leave there coz of their work hr is over, so they just got annoyed when I asked for different car and asking for instructions of the car. I wasn’t happy with the way treated me there. Also the parking area has no gps signals so I couldn’t turn on the gps for a while after I drove the road that did not know exactly where to go but couldn’t stop for a while due to the narrow roads that has no space to stop at the side of the road, really terrifying to drive when you not used the road and already dark outside, so many cars were following behind my car... not good at all.

Again, you guys were great when I asked to cancelled my booking, so fast and efficient but only one time when I try to cancel one booking online a lady didn’t check the date so she thought that I have already rented the car and cancel the car for some reason, asking receipt and other info that wasn’t important that time til I told her that I haven’t rented yet. Then she realized that I have not rent any cars yet... needed attention to details, plz

The process of picking up and returning the car was very convenient. However, I was disappointed that I didn't get the model I reserved, and the counter staff didn't inform me about this.

It wasn't clear whether the issue was with the rental company's credit card authorization policy or an error in the rental website's information. The rental company's requirement was a $3800 deposit, significantly higher than the $500-$3000 range stated on the website. My bank's limit was only $3400, and despite contacting the rental company and customer service, the issue remained unresolved for four hours. Eventually, I had to purchase an additional insurance policy directly from the rental company on top of the full coverage I already bought from the website. Although they promised to address the situation with the rental company's headquarters, I have received no follow-up for over two weeks despite multiple calls and online requests. This experience has shown me what it means to be irresponsible and untrustworthy.
My flight delay caused a late fee of 45 euros. They informed me that it was company policy and suggested I seek compensation from the airline. Aside from the 45-euro late fee due to the flight delay, everything else was fine.
Overall satisfied. The staff recommended insurance when picking up the car, just decline if you don't need it. The car was relatively new, and the staff had already prepared the documents for cross-border travel. Very efficient. Returning the car was via a self-service key box.

The car was great but staff wasn't friendly on day of visit. They also charge an absurdly high cost if you want to cross the border and it's not advertised that they do, it's like a hidden fee. If using within the country, it's fine to rent from without any problems.
The rental was fine, nice car but they don’t communicate with you where to pick up or drop off. The front desk just says “when you leave the airport turn left and another left” it led to an empty lot, nothing about going across the lot, look for our sign... so multiple people were outside trying to figure this out. When doing back in, same instructions when asked if he or someone could guide us... he said it’s “across the lot” basically, not worth rebooking with them.
