Alamo: Unlike other major companies that have counters in the arrival hall followed by car collection at the parking lot, we found out only through inquiry that their counter is directly in the parking lot. When we got to the parking lot, there were no signs for Alamo. After asking around, we finally discovered a small Alamo counter next to the enterprise sign. It turns out Alamo and National have been merged into Enterprise. There were a lot of people in line to pick up their cars, and only one attendant working slowly. It took us half an hour to get our turn. From the moment we got off the plane, car rental was the most inefficient part. We booked a Mercedes B, but were given a Toyota CH-R. They claimed it was in the same category. If they categorize it that way, what can we do?
The store service was excellent. The young gentleman was always smiling and even gave us a free GPS, although it was in an unfamiliar language. The service was very enthusiastic.
The staff was extremely rude and impatient. She gave incorrect information about the car. For example, we specifically asked if it was a diesel car and she confirmed it was. However, while refueling, the nozzle wouldn’t fit the fuel tank, and after checking the contract, we realized it was actually a 98 gasoline car. She also didn’t notice why there was no address on the international driver’s license and questioned us with a demanding tone: 'Where is the address?!' After writing it down for her, she complained about the handwriting being illegible and demanded that we write it neatly. But it was all written by me, so how could it be different the second time? Clearly, she was just being difficult.
“The entire trip was in Brussels, driving in areas like the city center, Anderlecht, Vorst, and Elsen”
About Alamo:10.0/10
The rental order was confirmed quickly. The pickup location was inside the airport and easy to find by following the rental car signs. Since we had a reservation, the front desk quickly processed the registration. We had to wait a bit for the car to be cleaned, but the staff was very friendly throughout.
