We rented a 7-seater car from AVIS through QEEQ. The car was relatively new and clean, and we were satisfied with its condition. The service staff were efficient.
When the hotel staff slightly scratched the car while parking, we contacted AVIS immediately and the issue was resolved satisfactorily. However, we hope that in the future, AVIS addresses such issues directly with the hotel as it was inconvenient for us during our trip.
I recently rented a car from Hertz in Los Angeles and Seattle. They had plenty of new cars, with the one I got only having 3000+ kilometers. But when I rented from Avis in Vancouver, they had fewer cars and suggested we pay for an upgrade. The car I got had over 16000 kilometers already. The main issue was that I booked a Chrysler 200, a mid-sized car, but at pickup, the staff suggested an upgrade which I declined. They then claimed they did not have my booked model and tried to give me a small Fiat instead, saying it was a similar model. I refused and they pushed for a paid upgrade. After insisting, they finally provided a Chrysler 300. In conclusion, I am very dissatisfied with the service from their staff.
