Reserved for 9:00, arrived at 8:50, there was a customer ahead processing their rental, took quite a while, waited for over ten minutes. Finished at 9:12. If there are others picking up cars at the same time, expect to wait for some time.
Pretty good, the staff at the Italian airport speaks English. The first car had some issues with the tires, but they replaced it immediately. I left my wallet in the first car, and the staff noticed and returned it to me. It changed my view of Italians.
I arrived early at the pickup location, but the staff at the counter refused to assist me, citing that it was not yet the pickup time. When the pickup time arrived, they informed me that there was an issue with my credit card and I could not get the car. By this time, the pickup window had passed, so I couldn't cancel the order or pick up the car.
This is a local Italian company and relatively small in scale. Our flight from Munich was delayed and redirected to Verona due to a strike at Venice airport. We called from the Lufthansa service center at Munich airport and were told they would wait for us. The car pick-up process was somewhat cumbersome, and they directly informed me that the Alfa Romeo I had booked was not available. Instead, they gave me a diesel Peugeot 208 with less than a full tank of fuel. The car felt somewhat unstable on the highway. The return location was next to the Hertz rental car area at Rome airport, which was easy to find. The process was similar to renting from Shenzhou Car in China.
A terrible experience. At pickup, I was told my credit card limit was not sufficient, but they could reduce the amount if I purchased their €250 insurance. However, my credit limit was enough. The limit can be checked on the app and I confirmed with the bank on-site. Subsequent travel expenses also showed the limit was enough. It's all a scam!
The car was in great condition, I even got a new car; however, the service at the store wasn't very friendly. When I returned the car, it wasn't with a full tank of gas, so the charges were significantly higher. They didn't provide a detailed breakdown of the costs. Because they were in a hurry to close and we were in a rush, we had to quickly pay and leave.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
