I'd booked 'Premium' which refers to LDAR, instead they only had a downgrade ready for me (FDAR). They said they could not get any premium, but then they also did not notice me before pick-up, giving me the chance to rebook at another company. I called the station next day to lett them check for a possible switch of cars at another town where I stayed over weekend, but they never rang me back.

The car had a scratch on the bumper that was not documented in the rental contract, which led to 1150 Euro damage charges upon return. I did not receive a vehicle from the booked class (4 door sports sedan) but an SUV.

The car rental company's service attitude is excellent! We arrived early and they still managed to accommodate us without pushing us to buy extra insurance. They respond quickly to issues via email. Highly recommend Alamo! Returning the car is easy; there's staff at the parking lot to collect the car. Remember to fill up the gas tank! I'm not sure if I have a fine yet, but the deposit should be refunded in about a month regardless.

The car rental location in Hamburg is a bit hard to find; it seems the GPS might be slightly off. However, following the airport signs makes it easier to locate. The staff was very nice and upgraded us to a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. During the trip, a stone hit the front windshield, causing a long crack. We immediately stopped by the Eu store in Oldenburg, where the staff wrote a proof that it wasn't our fault, and the issue was resolved smoothly in the end.

The internal pricing from the rental company was unclear compared to the destination car rental agency, resulting in an overcharge of 370 euros. The expected charge was 422 euros, but 799 euros were charged.

The car exceeded my expectations,Haven't checked the charges yet. the service in Hamburg though was arrogant, not helpful and did not function well. On my question why not someone could go with me to the car deck , the answer was just, we don't do that. So after 20 hours of traveling I had to inspect a car, then call them, then nobody came, then call them again, and then someone came and inspected it with me. WHY? why could they not send someone with me , if they knew there were scratches on that car. This is not acceptable and budget should really check wat is going on at German counters. the return was difficult because the way to car return is marked car rental not car return and Hamburg Airport is confusing in the way it is built. At the return, the guys had to do chatting in the office before they served people.

The Hertz in Hamburg had very few cars. I reserved an automatic, but they were not prepared with the right vehicle at all. There were no automatic cars available. After waiting for two to three hours, they finally arranged an automatic car, but it wasn't the model I had booked. Very disappointing.

The car, and free upgrade, was fabulous. The only frustrating thing was the checking process when we dropped the car off. The 'checker' checked cars who had arrived after us first and this was particularly frustrating as we were in a hurry.

This company is terrible and untrustworthy. They pressure you into buying full insurance, tell you that there's no need for a vehicle inspection, and then charge you for pre-existing damages. It seems that the previous renter probably paid for the damage and now they are scamming new renters with full insurance to repair the car. Your company in Berlin doesn't even pay for parking fees and gets chased away. It's a disgrace that such a terrible company can exist in Germany and tarnish the country's reputation.

Picking up a car in Hamburg city center is not easy. There is no branch office, communication is inconvenient, and I made several international calls to the central office, which redirected me to a branch office. I waited for two hours and finally got the car in front of a Starbucks. Returning the car at Munich airport was also problematic. The branch office is far from the airport, and after returning the car, I had to wait for the branch to arrange a vehicle to take me to the airport. As I was in a hurry to catch my flight, I took a taxi to the airport, costing over 20 euros.

The service was great, but when returning the car, the specified spot was Terminal 1, Bus Stop 29, which was nowhere to be found. There were only stops 1-24. I had to ask many people, none of whom knew either. It took over an hour and numerous international calls to finally reach someone. Even the car rental return center at Frankfurt Airport was easier to find. If there is no return location at the airport, it is suggested to choose a more easily accessible location. Returning the car in Stockholm was much easier; there was a fixed location. However, the navigation couldn’t find this spot, and I had to ask many people to find it when picking up the car as well.
