Waited very long for the car-most frustrating as was pressed for time

Alamo is a good rental company. they are fast and its easy.

Booked whilst standing in the Alamo premises que, due to an issue with another car hire company ,But the company policy meant I was made to wait 2 hours before being allowed to pick up the car. Even though it was ready to be picked up immediately.

I wish they had a larger fleet of automatic vehicles. Since I only drive automatic cars, I was given a very small car, which was not what I originally booked. Although it was considered an upgrade, it was really disappointing to receive a mini car instead of the SUV I had reserved.

Alquilar un automovil debe ser algo placentero y que el cliente disfrute. Pero desde que uno llega al mostrador parece terrorismo, que el seguro adicional con unos valores super altos, que si le pasa algo al carro practicamente hay que hipotecar todo. Debería cambiar esa parte para que tengan más clientes y contentos. El viaje para mí fue muy bueno hasta que entregué el carro en la oficina. Por un impacto en la luna me cobraron 1200 euros adicionales, un robo total.

Como punto negativo, el vehiculo se entrego con medio depósito y eso dificulta el llenado posterior para la entrega. La necesidad de tener una targeta de crédito y no sólo de débito también puede dar complicaciones.

The counter staff were absolutely excellent and it was the smoothest and fastest car hire pick up I have ever had. Drop off process was the same and staff were very friendly and helpful…highly recommend.

The only comment we have is that we waited a very long time for the pick up. But it was the 1th of January so on the other hand understandable. They might have had more counters open. That would have been quicker. But the guy Faisal I think his name was, was super helpful and friendly.

Booked a large SUV and got a Skoda Kodiac. With 4 big bags one had to go in the center of the rear seat.

In la paz airport thereis no Alamo office outside the airport and I was given no instructions on how to return the vehicle. I had to ask the guys at Avis who told me to park at the car park and go to the office inside the terminal. I did this, and the lady at the Alamo office inside the terminal told me that I had to pay for the parking...

The bumper damage was visible on pick Up, the emoloyee took photos of it and said it was in the database. But on drop off they said they did not see it in the system and wanted to charge us for damages. Luckily we had a video from pick up.

Reserved vehicle size was not available upon checking. We needed to come back to the rental station on own initiative and time to get the right size.
