Although I had documents saying amount due at airport as 0 I still had to pay a fuel surcharge of €24 (or they refused to give me the car) plus the incessant pressure sales techniques from Goldcar to take their insurance. Booked a Ford Focus got a Seat Leon which was smaller than anticipated

Booking was easy and the automated price drop re book is fantastic

Tried to sell insurance which was already included

Very quick at the desk, minimal upsell overall excellent

Love the fact you both walk round the car at the end of the rental, knowing when you leave there's no potential for any unexpected charges

Well I still have not yet been given my final settlement figure. Due to the floods that occured, the car was a little muddy And Gold car are notorious for putting on extra charges after the hire

Never had any problems....the best thing about click rent is they are open and upfront, plus you walk round the car at the end of the rental so you know you're getting a full refund before your flight home

Iike how at the end you both walk round the car checking the damage and you sign to say you're getting a complete refund

the pick up details provided by easyrent cars for this pickup were wrong but was sorted . apart from the normal sales pitch for upgrades then this was excellent service.

The counter staff were lovely. I was very disappointed to have to pay extra for insurance.

Long queue to pick up (30mins) Scaremongering to upsell additional insurance which was more expensive than the rental! Because I didn't take insurance, didn't even tell me where to find the car just got given keys. Picked up during a storm and the car was missing a wiper! (known damage)

The car rental service was acceptable, but the attitude during car return was extremely poor.

Car had had a hard 60000km life and had lots of damage and scratches. Pick up was the usual hard sell for extras.

I had trouble finding which provider was renting this car as the hirer is a subsiduary of GOLD car but it was not obvious. The woman on the desk was very agressive and tried to sell me more insurance although I explained to her that I had already bought this through the online purchase. She kept saying the car was not insured. The car provided was full of dents and scratches and although I took loads of photos I am waiting to hear if they now try and bill me for some of these!

The booking platform and process was very easy and good. The information and warning re the additional selling of insurance was useful and put my mind at rest. The experience at the rental company pick up was not good however and not condusive to a complementary business partnership!
