The man on the counter in the car park was extremely rude and was driving dangerously around the car park! He didnt talk to us, just handed a key and didnt even show us where the car was. He looked confrontational.
The man in the counter where I got my keys in the airport was lovely though.

Couldn’t find Target Rental desk initially this was because they are also called Liberty and this was the big sign above the desk. Target Rental sign was on a A4 piece of paper on a sign on the desk. It was very busy in the rental terminal so you couldn’t see the sign!
The vehicle was in very poor condition, and after picking the car up I was shocked to realise it had done over 205,000 km which in my view is way beyond the useful life of an average car, let alone one a company is renting out (for a 9 day price that would probably go towards buying 50% of the car). The vehicle was so worn it lacked power in lower gears to the point it felt unsafe, and we were concerned there was a very high risk the vehicle could breakdown. We therefore used the vehicle a lot less than we had hoped to on our holiday. Overall this experience has left me thinking I would be highly unlikely to use this company in the future, or recommend it to anyone else.

It took a long time to go through the pick up process compared with previous experiences. The car was scratched, had no windscreen wash in at all and the Ad Blue ran out. We filled the windscreen wash ourselves and took the car to Hertz in Florence to sort out the Ad Blue.

It was taken money from my account without any information. Delivery of CAR was everyrhing Ok but some days later I found out that IT has been transaction from MasterCard.
Budget wrongly charged me 112 euros for a small scratch on a wing mirror when I returned the car claiming that it was nor present when the rental started. Fortunately I had photographed the whole car at the start which showed that the mark was in fact present when I collected the car. I am currently attempting to persuade Budget to remove the charge but otherwise I will claim the amount from the Easy Rent Cars insurance policy. I was very disappointed with the service I received from Budget and I will not use the company again.
A typical car rental experience...too many people disorganized counter. Seems like the business is stuck in the 1960's...and not in a good way.
We paid extra for an automatic convertible car...they gave us a manual one at first and then didn't have a convertible that was automatic...so a waste of money.
Car return was poorly coordinated as well...had us standing in the rain and no place to park the car.
Ultimately this is what you get for finding the cheapest options. Also the industry needs a proper overhaul.

See above comments - just really poor. Despite the many months notice we didn’t get the car ordered, pick up was awful and the car was damaged all round.
Excellent condition and no hassle car rental. Only recommendation would be to make it clearer that it is the yellow Centauro shuttle bus and not the general one to the main car hire.
You really need to make it clearer where the location is. I went to the main rental area which was wrong.
I also found it very difficult to find the location upon returning.
Finally, the car took CNG, and it was difficult to find a service station providing this.
All of the above points could be easily provided on one piece of paper when collecting the car.
Otherwise a good car, and clean. Nice customer service too.

Europcar desk at the airport had a queuing system 5hat meant they served their own customers first even when they turned up after our arrival. It wasn’t until I complained that they dealt with my rental.
The drop off in Verona was excellent.
We gave the car back with a tiny scratch on one side. It was so superficial that it could easily have been buffed out with a bit of black car polish. We have been charged £755!!! This is ridiculous and it has put us off ever renting a car on holiday ever again.
