Did not get the reserved car model. It was changed to Alfa Romeo. Specifically chose a model with a larger trunk, but the replacement had a very small trunk. In the end, had to pay an extra 15 euros to upgrade to an SUV. The car also came with less than a full tank, causing inconvenience when refueling. To avoid fines, added nearly ten liters more fuel.
Everything went very well except longer than normal amount of time at pickup. Computers were being problematic but Alex was very helpful and made sure my troop went well.
When returning the car, there was a scratch, but it wasn't severe. They charged £2000, not as a pre-authorization, but a direct deduction. Initially, I thought the scratch would be quick to fix, so I agreed. Unexpectedly, it's been two months since I returned, and there's been no response—just saying it's being processed. I'm wondering, couldn't they just touch up the paint a little and rent the car out again? Looks like the £2000 was a rip-off.
Collection was easy, only thing not happy about was that when I book I was told that I didn't need a credit card but I did and was charged extra for insurance
The staff member was nice and very helpful. An additional €25 insurance was required for driving in Ireland, which I personally thought was reasonable. Without it, there might be no support in case of an accident in Ireland. The car provided was very spacious, almost the size of an XC60.
