The car was scratched on every panel when we picked it up. With no one there to reassure us. The girl on the desk tried to mis sell insurance when I had already told her a number of times that I had bought the extra insurance with you.
When we arrived at the store, they tried to upsell us insurance, claiming it would cover any scratches. Considering the good road conditions, we decided not to buy it. At return, they said everything was fine, but later we received a damage report for a scratch that was already there when we picked up the car. We mentioned it to them at pickup, but they dismissively told us to just take photos ourselves. They did not inspect the car at return, and only later claimed there was a scratch. It seems that if previous renters had bought the insurance, those scratches would have been ignored, but if future renters don’t buy it, they end up being held responsible. The car rental company has no record of scratches and relies entirely on renters to document them. It’s essential to document any issues, but the car rental company's honesty and factual reporting are crucial.
First the car given was not the Focus that I ordered, nor in same class. A lower class Honda Jazz. Second it had more than a few scratches etc, making the car inspection pointless, but even more crucial. Third, the overall condition was quite poor, and not washed. The car air-conditioning, right wing mirror were not working too.
Tried to make me sign before inspecting the car. Said there was a car manual and it was not there. Brought the car wet so made it difficult to see any scratches on body work

The members of staff were very helpful, the upgrade was an added bonus. On drop off, the staff member was helpful regarding payment of the toll bridge in Liverpool. My only gripe is that we were told with the upgrade it included the additional driver but we have since been charged. I have emailed the company and am awaiting an answer...
I had to extend my car for 1 week. As per there agreement the changes were £16.2 per day. So it should be £113.4 but they deducted £256.83. I am trying to contact them by customer care, waited for 40min no reply. Email them. No reply yet. Poor customer service.

Hertz Aberdeen were great but Hertz Liverpool staff were meant to follow up with us on cost of vehicle and did not. Very disappointed with Hertz initial customer service compared to other companies.
Friendly and helpful staff. Bodywork inspection very thorough, fortunately we didn't have any problems with the car as the charges seem to be quite high. Car was new and in very good condition. Professional service, overall very good.
