Both processes (pickup and drop off) went smoothly and relatively quickly, especially, drop off.
I've exchange the emails with the drop off staff (prior to drop off) to find out the exact location. Responses were quick and helpful. One minor thing - they didn't tell me that their office is on the 4th floor of the car park. It took us an extra 5 min to find out when we arrived
It was alright. I rented a Q5, but the vehicle provided was not of the same class—it was a lower-tier small car, the domestic model Deep Blue. This had never happened before.
I reserved a small automatic car, but they gave me a large SUV and claimed it was the smallest car available. The vehicle was very difficult to drive in the narrow, crowded streets of Sicily and consumed a lot of fuel, making the experience quite painful. On the bright side, it did improve my driving skills.
The car rental experience with Sicily by Car was very good. The new car only had 800 kilometers on it. The counter service was good; there was no aggressive upselling of insurance. The return process was quick and convenient. The driving performance of the SEAT SUN was excellent, especially on the winding roads of the Amalfi Coast. The smart features were comparable to those of domestic electric cars.
