Since I only had a US driver's license and not a Chinese one, Avis did not accept the order from the car rental platform. The staff at the store were very friendly.

The queue time was quite long. When it was our turn, the staff mentioned they were hungry and needed to eat... But seeing we had waited for so long, they completed our process but pushed a lot of extra services.

At Los Angeles Airport, the staff keeps pushing additional insurance and even tried to convince us it was mandatory. Only after my strong questioning did they admit it was optional. They seem to take advantage of non-native English speakers. The service attitude was really poor. The reserved car type was unavailable. I booked an SUV, but they recommended a Mercedes sedan instead, claiming it had a built-in GPS. What a hassle.

Overall quite good. The staff will try to sell insurance, so make sure to check the order carefully.
