About Hertz: 6.0 /10
When picking up the car, there was an unexpected high-priced fuel fee, but showing the fuel receipt upon return waived the fee. Since I picked up the car early, there was no queue; when dropping off, it was also early but quite crowded... The car's condition was okay, but if you're traveling to Germany, it's better to choose a European car since Japanese cars' brakes are not as responsive.

About Hertz: 2.0 /10
This is a terrible company. I will never use them again. I arrived at Amsterdam airport at 11:20. I originally booked a Polo, but they switched it to a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. There was no one at the parking lot, and no one to ask. The counter didn't give clear instructions, and it took me an hour to find Hertz's parking area. There was no one there, I had to pick up the car myself! The Hybrid model doesn't make an engine noise when it starts, but how was I supposed to know that? It took me half an hour to figure it out and nervously drive on the foreign roads (right onto the A4 airport highway). The so-called 24-hour service phone number was not answered at all! Otherwise, I could have asked how to use that crappy car! On the 25th when I returned the car, the staff was extremely rude. As soon as they found out I was Chinese, they started making jokes with each other, possibly mocking us. Their attitude was very dismissive, but since I was in a hurry for my flight, I didn’t argue with them. The fuel gauge was about 5/6 full, but they claimed it wasn't full and said they would charge me, without specifying the amount. Then they said I had scratched the left rear side! When I picked up the car that night, no one was there to hand it over, so how do I know if it was already scratched or if I did it? With no handover process, how can they claim it was me? I had no choice because I was running out of time. They charged an extremely high fee, around 500 euros. This is the first and last time I will rent from this company! Thrifty is so much better. Last time I went on a road trip in the USA, I used them. There was someone available 24 hours, the handover process was thorough, and the service was excellent. Hertz should just go out of business and stop scamming people!

About Hertz: 2.0 /10
The rental company required a full tank upon return, so I found a gas station at Amsterdam Airport and filled up. It was less than 1 kilometer to the drop-off point. The attendant quickly processed the return, and since I was in a hurry to catch my flight, I didn't scrutinize the bill. It wasn't until I was on the plane that I noticed a 79-euro fuel charge on the bill. Back home, it took countless phone calls to find the right person. They requested a receipt for the fuel, which luckily I hadn't thrown away, so I emailed a photo of it. I thought the issue was resolved, but then I received an email saying that their records showed they added 7.5 liters of fuel at 2.99 euros per liter plus a 12-euro service fee, so they could only refund 44 euros. Upon reflection, I realized this didn't add up. If there’s a post-return fuel check process, then charging 79 euros at the time of billing wasn't a mistake but an intentional overcharge. Furthermore, if it's 2.99 euros per liter plus a 12-euro fee, 79 euros would only cover about 30 liters. This pricing method is clearly misleading. If I returned the car empty, would they end up losing money?

“Dirty stinky car. Avoid Hertz NL”
About Hertz: 6.7 /10
Very dirty car with mud both inside and outside. Horrible cigarette smoke. Had to buy a spray can to get it somewhat under control. Got 3 euros back for spray can thats it. Got a headache from the bad smell. I should have rejected this car and Hertz should have never put it up for rent. No more Hertz NL for me.
