The Thrifty counter staff initially tried to charge me the rental fee. I emphasized that I had already prepaid through ZUZUCHE. After checking the rental slip for a while, they finally didn't charge me again. When returning the car, there were no staff available. After parking, I handed the key to the counter in the arrivals hall. Later, they charged my card 36 AUD for an unknown reason. Since the amount is small, I didn't bother to investigate.
Thrifty tried to give me a larger car to compensate but there was no way I wanted to drive a larger car in Melbourne - a place I didn't know. I booked the Ford Focus Cabrio as a special treat for my daughter and the Kia Rio wasn't the same. The other car offered was a Suzuki Swift.
