The rental staff also pushed for roadside assistance, scaring me by saying it would cost a lot if something like a flat tire happened, which made me buy it for $60. After having already spent an unexpected $150, I felt scammed and just wanted to end this ordeal quickly, so I unwillingly paid this fee too. 3. I was misled again when the staff said I couldn't pay tolls with cash when driving to Miami and had to buy a toll charge for over $50. However, I found out that it was indeed possible to pay tolls with cash during my journey. I also consulted with three locals, and while they weren't sure about the first issue, they confirmed that the second and third were unnecessary.
