1. During my rental period, I experienced a flat tire in the middle of nowhere at 8:30 PM (still within business hours). I called the rental office, company headquarters, and other contact numbers, but none were reachable. I couldn't get any assistance from the rental company. Fortunately, the car manufacturer's roadside assistance service helped me out. Not being able to contact the rental company during business hours is extremely disappointing. 2. When I purchased additional insurance, the service representative miscalculated the amount I needed to pay. After I pointed it out, they pretended not to notice and simply corrected the amount for me to re-pay. 3. The deposit payment method is extremely strict, requiring a £1500 deposit but only accepting credit cards with chips. My credit card from home doesn't have a chip, so I had to purchase additional insurance to lower the deposit amount. Throughout this process, the rental company's staff were not friendly.

We had to wait at least an hour to pick up the car. When returning it, two employees tried to tell me the wheel rim was scratched, but it absolutely was not! As soon as I parked the car and notified them, the two employees immediately went to the front left wheel with their phones, completely ignoring the rest of the car! When I refused to sign, they took the phone and talked in a corner. Who checks for scratched wheel rims when renting a car? The car was perfectly fine throughout the rental period. With many years of car rental experience, this was the worst incident ever, definitely a premeditated scam! In the end, as I needed to catch the Eurostar, I asked them to call the police. They did not and just left!

Picked up the car after the first staff member couldn’t comprehend the paperwork. Car upgrade - appreciated. Both car headlights were defective and dangerous. Had to call RAC to put bulbs back into holders. Told staff on checkin & didn’t really seem interested. I would hire again but make sure there was a proper inspection before I drove away. Didn’t do the inspection this time because staff said I was covered for any damage.

Overall - satisfied.
