Booked a car from Budget, but at the location, Budget and Avis share the same counter. The car we got had the Avis logo. It was actually a hybrid Toyota Yaris, very new with only 2,000 kilometers on it and fuel-efficient. The car was equipped with CarPlay, making it easy to connect the phone for music and Google Maps navigation.
They couldn't provide the Volvo XC60 automatic I reserved and kept asking me to accept another brand's automatic car or a small car with insufficient luggage space. They only kept saying sorry, and communicating through the rental platform did not resolve it. We spent two hours negotiating at the parking lot with two adults and two children. In the end, due to our insistence, we still had to downgrade to another brand but got a promise for a refund of the price difference and no need to refill the tank upon return.
The car was excellent ! The staff was super helpful. Really lovely and service oriented people. Specifically, Jodi who helped us with our car is amazing !
