The wait time for renting was very long due to insufficient staff. After returning the car, I was charged over 100 dollars and have not received a resolution from the rental company yet.
The car consumed a lot of fuel. Initially, I planned to return it in Wellington via the ferry, but due to strong winds, the ferry was canceled. I had to return it in the same city, which cost an additional 2500, which is more expensive than the rental itself, utterly outrageous.
I reserved a Highlander, but ended up with an Australian Holden. The car's space was small and couldn't fit luggage for five people. I hope they can confirm the car model in the future.
The front desk guy explained everything in detail and was very patient. The car condition was excellent.
