I rented there because of high rating to do with customer service. But the vehicle was really awful and when I called for help mid-rental the staff were utterly unhelpful.
They give clear instructions proactively and response timely. Only thing is the finance part made me a bit concern that they didn't receive the funding from Qeeq in time and double charged me on additional driver fee and requested me to get refund back from Qeeq. This might be internal process between Yesaway and Qeeq to be improved. Too troublesome for me to work on the refund between the 2 companies.

Queue was a bit long- but would have been less if we had gone at 9.00 a.m ( a lesson learned for us)
When I reserved a rental car, I also signed up for full coverage insurance. However, I did not understand when I was told that if there was an accident and damage, I would have to pay 5900 NZD first and claim the damage amount separately from the insurance company. If you signed up for insurance at the same time as reserving a rental car on the reservation site, it would be normal for the rental car company and the insurance company to handle each other's insurance processing so that there is no cost to the customer. Also, I was told that if I signed up for insurance directly with ACE Rental Cars at the pick-up counter, I would not have to pay any costs even if an accident occurs, but I ended up signing up for double insurance.

Zi at Ace in Christchurch could not have been more helpful. He gave us a paper map (yes - they still exist!) and great advice. Oh yes, and the brand new car. Ace is part of Hertz.

Qeeq is a bit different, but now we have got the hang of it, we will be using it again. We especially like the reserve for $1 feature.
We thought the apex staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Our rental went smooth and compared to other countries was the best experience we’ve ever had.

We had an upgrade to Mazda Premacy which is a bigger car at point of pickup. Customer service is good. The staff is helpful and answers our questions on wechat during our journey.

The price drop was fantastic. It has helped us saved a bit.
Was very busy when we arrived and had to wait a fair while for space on the shuttle. But the drivers were very helpful And counter staff once we got to the office were great. Just stretched out the process waiting for the shuttle.
