The service was excellent, convenient, and efficient. The procedures were simple. When returning the car during heavy rain, the Icelandic staff kindly drove me back to the airport. It would have taken 10 minutes to walk, and getting soaked in the rain wouldn't have been pleasant.
They just handed you the key and asked you to pick up the car yourself. No staff assistance during pickup. Reserved a Volkswagen three months in advance, but got switched to a Japanese SUZUKI which I am not familiar with. Luckily, the car wasn't complicated, or it would have taken quite some time to figure out, wasting time. Significant service difference compared to Europcar in Germany.
Overall it's okay, but they didn't inform me about a toll fee, which caused me to incur a lot of unnecessary fines later.
