We got a free upgrade to a Mercedes C200, the experience was excellent. The staff at Aberdeen Airport were very nice and asked if we needed a refueling service. Returning the car in London was also very convenient, a staff member checked the car on the spot and sent an electronic receipt to our email. Then a shuttle bus took us directly to the terminal entrance. Highly recommended!
Wanted to return the car a few hours later, but they said it would cost an extra couple of hundred pounds. Since they subtract the original price from what the rental company charges, it's very unreasonable and inflexible. Upon returning the car, they said the rental price did not include taxes, an additional 20% tax had to be paid :(
I was unsure about the exact deposit amount. My credit card was charged over 110 pounds and I don't know how much will be refunded. It took a long time to find the drop-off location, almost missed my flight.
Counter staff were excellent and the drop off was so quick and easy. The shuttle bus was great too , can’t recommend Avis Heathrow enough.
