The car was in good condition, and the delivery guy was very considerate. He helped point out any scratches and recorded them on the contract. Malaysians drive fast, especially on the highway where the average speed is around 150 km/h. If you're concerned, you can upgrade your insurance when picking up the car. It's cheap and gives peace of mind, just in case.
Overall, it was good. However, my flight was delayed and I didn't pick up the car until 8 PM. They informed me that picking up the car between 7 PM and 10 PM would incur an extra charge of 80 MYR. I found this unreasonable since my scheduled pick-up time was 12 PM, and the delay was caused by the flight.
“Reliable car with fast and convenient pick up and return process”
About Gosocar:9.0/10
Though the one I rent was not the foreign brand performance car but it was reliable and everything worked fine for my 5 days rental. Fast and good information provided before pick up and return.
I booked a four-cylinder Saga but was given a three-cylinder Bezza of a different model. We had a lot of people and luggage on this trip, and the three-cylinder car was really underpowered! Also, I booked insurance at the time of reservation, but the rental company kept insisting we hadn't. We ended up buying another one because we didn't want to risk it, even though it wasn't expensive, it was still a bit annoying.
The car rental company contacted us via WhatsApp in advance. The car had only around 100,000 kilometers on it, but it only had a quarter tank of fuel when we picked it up.
We upgraded to a bigger car when picking up, and the trunk was very spacious, as shown in pictures. There were many of the same models on the street, but the power was lacking; the car struggled uphill with four people. Due to a rescheduled flight, we returned the car earlier without any issues, paid an additional 50 MYR for the overtime fee. The staff were always available for any issues during the rental, with good service and quick responses. Both pick-up and return processes were thorough and carefully explained. Having rented cars in many countries, this was the best service in Malaysia. Hope the pre-authorization gets released soon. The fuel prices here are incredibly cheap; it would be a waste not to rent a car.
