“Great value for money, car in excellent condition”
About AVIS:9.6/10
Like: The staff at picking up and dropping off was kind and efficient. I was especially happy that I could leave the car without complications and directly go to my flight. The car was an upgrade, excellent model and condition, very clean. Dislike: No issues.
The booking was for an automatic car, as was clearly stated on the confirmation but I received a manual car & Avis told me to take it up with Easyrentcars.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Why was I allowed to book an automatic car that was unavailable at Avis?
The vehicle was not well-maintained, the handbrake was almost useless, and it almost rolled down the hill in Mai Tai. The oil light would come on after a while, although the service was very warm and attentive.
The company representative was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, we received a very old car, meaning it was full of scratches and technologically outdated — an Audi Q3 from 2019 without reverse sensors and without a rear camera. Additionally, some safety systems were non-functional, such as the lane-keeping assist, which was disabled. I’d like to remind you that it’s 2024, and I expect an international rental company like Avis to have modern vehicles, not ones that are 5 years old.
The contract added a fuel surcharge clause that was not in the QEEQ booking information. This was not noticed at the time as the credit card wasn't charged immediately. Reporting it later to QEEQ customer service solved nothing, it’s an outright unfair clause!
The store provided a detailed explanation of rental precautions, cost breakdown, and car pickup method. However, the wait time was relatively long, possibly due to language issues.
The car is very old with 78,000 kilometers, and the body is covered in scratches. You are given a checklist highlighting the damage when you pick up the car, and you need to verify it carefully. If there are new scratches when returning, you might be charged. The car's power is okay; it’s a Toyota PRIUS hybrid automatic, suitable for Greece’s bad and mountain roads. Fuel consumption is 5.6 liters, the air conditioning is strong, but the trunk and rear seats are a bit cramped. The rental period is calculated by the hour, and if you exceed half an hour, it counts as a full day. The city return location is not open 24 hours.
The car I got had very poor torque and pick up, seemed a bit dirty, glass we not clean, wiper fluid was completely empty. But on highway and flat surfaces the car was ok.

Very easy to book. Liked the 5% rebook on price drop option. Good options. Good app.
