I was at the Right Car counter, and I signed the contract. And soon after the representative took it back and tore it saying he was cancelling the reservation. I was asked to show my insurance which I did and he claimed the liability was not enough. I have attached a copy of my insurance and as you can see it has 100/300/100 limit, so I was trying to find out where is my insurance lacking the coverage and asking for an explanation. At no point did I ever refuse their insurance. And in fact even agreed to purchase it. The representative just decided to cancel the reservation with no value reason and ask me to leave. I had prepaid the entire amount of reservation and was told I would get no refund. I see no fault of mine in this and the least I deserve is my money back. Not to mention this caused me a lot of inconvenience, wasted my time, and I had to end up looking for another car rental which costs me a lot money. I had never ever experienced such terrible car rental experience in my life before.

Sun pass is not a necessity in Fort Lauderdale, we could have managed without sun pass or could have used our own. But the agent didn’t agree to use our own, and informed that without sun pass we cannot take any highway in FL, that’s a lie.
BE WARNED: This rental company WILL find a way to uncharge you at the counter for a seemingly inexpensive rental. I declined insurance coverage because BOTH my insurance company and the rental company confirmed that my coverage was adequate over the phone and upon arrival at the counter I was told that my 100,000/300,000 coverage was inadequate and they require 300,000/500,000. They required I pay an additional $40 for my three-day rental (essentially doubling the original price). It was going to be $45 on my credit card but they dropped it to $40 since I paid cash, which seems highly suspect to me. I called my insurance company from the counter and they were willing to raise my coverage limits for the month, which would have cost me about $6-$7 but the counter associate told me that they couldn't accept that change - even if my insurance carrier faxed proof of higher coverage directly to their office - because it has to be in effect for 30 days or else it won't be "in the system". Had we not been on a schedule, I would have cancelled the reservation and gone elsewhere, even if I had to pay more to a different company, just to avoid these scam artist.
This company offers very inexpensive bookings up front and then finds all sorts of ways to add charges if you are not careful (if you bring the car back with less gas, $25 fee PLUS $9 per gallon; if you don't purchase their toll pass transponder and go through tolls, they charge $25 PER TOLL you pass through). Spend the extra money to book with a reputable company who isn't going to try to rob you.
I’m local and showed my own insurance information but the clerk charged me for insurance. I brought my own Sunpass transponder but the clerk charged me $5 daily for “activation fees”. The shuttle took almost 40 minutes to pick us up from the airport. The rental car office facility is literally a shak at a repair shop.
These clowns are the worst you can imagine. I could not believe how crooked and unprofessional they were. Never Never Never use them. They should be shut down out of business.
Do not rent with this company, I was given a car that had the trunk already damaged, on my way to my hotel the trunk opened, other drivers honked at me to let me know, not the best way to start. I managed to close it and continue. The second day I called no answer, not the way you want to spend your vacations, on the phone and trying to get another car that never happened. I tied a cord to keep it close. I finally talked to somebody two days before my vacations ended and told them I did not want to be blamed for that, and they told me not to worry about it.
Guess what, A week after my deposit was not returned and when I called they said that they will not give me my deposit back because I damage the Trunk!!!!!!!. What is wrong with these people, they are so dishonest, I will not recommend this company at all. Go with the ones that are in the airport, even if is more money
One more thing, I spoke to the manager today I mention that I will fill out this survey, and he said that if I do it, he will not help me in any way to get my deposit back. That is so unprofessional.
They forced me to buy extra insurance b/c I had less then 300,000 insurance coverage and nowhere in the contract it said that. For the price i paid i could have used Enterprise which does not have that ridiculous policy.
I could not find the place, there was no parking for my brother who accompanied me to park his car while he was waiting for me.
There is no signage, it is so hard to find.
The staff was nice but there was nothing they could do.
We feel that we were scammed because they lied and forced you to buy their insurance and forced you to buy the Sunpass if you didn’t have $300,000 in property damage they made you purchase their insurance and it does not say anywhere about that until you get to their counter I will never rent from this place again . We would definitely like a refund !!!

The service guy Oswaldo was rude impoliteband unprofessional.mHentold me and my family to bet out of the premisces and that he would not rent us a car... the reason: i refused his proposal for additionnal upinsurance cover. I had proof of sufficient coverage by my insurance company from Canada for the amount of $2 million and still it was not enough. It was written on my resrvation : bring proof of insurance... which i did. Never ever again. This is a hoax and a extremely unreliable company... as they kept my money, without giving me any service, i should call this an act of robbery...

This has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had! The guy at the counter was so rude and aggressive, he tried to force me to add their insurance when I had insurance from EasyRentCars already! I then refused the car! Zero out of 5

Worst place ever to rent car. If you see it post for 8dollars a day it’s not, when you get to the counter they will charge you at least $100 extra for all the mandatory fees. The low prices is a gimmick to have customers chose them first.
