“Aconsejable si vas 4 personas a noruega narvik iislas lofoten alquilar un SUV mas alto las plaza”
About Hertz:9.3/10
El cotxe que alquilamos era un passat suficiente para los 4 y las maletas. Pero nos dieron un volvo v60 AwDd3 segun ellos mucho mejor. pero resulto mas estrecho i pequeño de dimensiones que el passat
At our flight arrival Hertz was the only rental car booth closed. All the other rental cars were opened. we tried to deal with the Hertz "auto-pickup" box and it was a mess. Hopefully a Hertz agent showed up after 15 mn and we were able to make the papers. But we lost 45 mn in the process with a lot of stress (we thought at some point that we would have to deal with this "auto-pickup" box)... especially when you see that all other customers from other rental cars companies were treated the correct way. So a really bad experience with Hertz. On the positive side, the car was nice.
Rented two identical cars at the same time, but the deposit was 3000 NOK for one and 8000 NOK for the other. When I asked the staff why, they said they randomly entered a price. How can this job be done so arbitrarily? It seems like there are a lot of shady practices! The car was a Suzuki version of the RAV4 with 18,000 km on it, which is relatively new. There were noticeable scratches on the right side, and both the exterior and interior were not very clean. Overall, just average!
The self-service pickup machine does not support Chinese driver's licenses and requires remote manual assistance. It took two hours to get in touch with someone.
There were many people in line. It's recommended that one person handle the car rental procedures while others wait for the luggage. The service attitude was great, and self-service car pick-up was very convenient.
I rented a car from Hertz for one day at Bergen Airport on May 3rd. They did not provide any paper documents and promised to send the contract and receipt to my email, which I never received. Therefore, when I picked up the car at the Hertz branch in Evones Airport around 10:00 AM on May 4th, I carefully checked each charge on their tablet. The order on the rental platform indicated that I needed to pay 1411 NOK at the branch when picking up the car. When I showed the rental fee as indicated on my order to the staff, I found two insurance charges in the contract. I immediately questioned them and informed them that the rental fee I paid already included three basic insurances, so I did not need any additional insurance. The staff told me that these two insurances were mandatory by Hertz. I added an additional driver for 4 EUR/day for three days. I took a photo of the contract receipt page with my phone, as Hertz’s branch still did not provide any paper documents. The charges for this 3-day rental period from Hertz were reasonable, and by the way, the E10 in the Lofoten Islands is a national scenic road with no tolls! Everyone knows that! So making up toll charges is impossible. I remind everyone who rents from Hertz and picks up the car at the airport, if the rental fee is paid at the branch, be sure to carefully check each charge on the tablet! Because Hertz will add extra insurance and other fees!
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
