The Budget - Sydney Airport car rental location is in terminal

You can walk to the counter of Budget - Sydney Airport car rental.

The car rental counter is located near the arrival hall exit of the airport. Please walk to the store following the "Car Rental" sign. COUNTER: Located in Ansett Domestic, Qantas Domestic & International terminals in the airport. CARS: Vehicles are in allocated Budget car park just outside the terminal. Domestic Travellers - There is Rental Collection Counters in Every Terminal at Sydney Airport,while due to the repair works of the airport recently, vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs will take place at temporary facilities on the corner of Ross Smith Avenue and Butler Road, Mascot. And there will a free shuttle bus, please kindly check with counter staff.

Drop-off Instructions

Please kindly confirm with the counter staff at pick-up.To allow enough time to shuttle to or from the car rental pick up point and the T2 and T3 Domestic Terminals, Sydney Domestic Airport is advising all customers to allow for an additional 30-minute or more transit time.

After exiting the arrivals, the car rental company is on the left with clear signs. The Budget counter was unattended, and there was a sign directing us to the Avis counter. A lady there assisted us professionally and explained the benefits of buying insurance. I mentioned that I had already purchased QEEQ's super insurance. She then handed me the keys and directed me to the parking slot to pick up the car myself.

When I rented the car, I added a GPS, thinking it was integrated into the car. So I took the keys and went straight to the car, only to find out later that the GPS was a separate device rented at the counter. The employee at the rental counter didn't give me the GPS device even though I was charged for it, causing me to spend 30 minutes looking for it in the car. After asking nearby staff, I learned that the GPS is a separate device and needs to be collected at the counter. I had to run back to the rental counter where the embarrassed employee admitted they forgot to give it to me, wasting my time. It turned out the car had Apple CarPlay, which I connected to my phone, allowing me to use Baidu/Google Maps. This was much more reliable than the rented GPS, which I ended up not using at all, wasting the GPS rental fee.
