Reserved a mini-van but got a small SUV instead for a family of 6 with luggage. Terrible!
There was a very long wait at the rental counter. On top of that Thrifty didn't have the mini-van that we RESERVED ahead of time. What's the point of a reservation then?! They gave us a small SUV that didn't even fit our luggage for a family of 6. Very disappointed.

The service attitude was okay, but because I did not purchase the additional insurance, the car provided was in poor condition. It was a red Kia with no power to climb hills, and the engine was unstable, functioning inconsistently. In the signal-less mountains, it almost stalled, scaring me half to death. During the 9 days of self-driving in the USA, I was constantly on edge, worried the car would break down in the middle of nowhere.

They couldn't sell me an upgrade, so they gave me a lower-grade car. I booked a car with space for two 24-inch suitcases, but the Mini Cooper they provided had no trunk space. I had to pile the luggage on the back seat, increasing the risk of theft.

The car I received was just a so-called similar model, definitely not an Infiniti! The waiting time at Thrifty Car Rental in the US for processing the return is counted as delayed return. Their pick-up and drop-off procedures are cumbersome, with long queues. It all seems like a trap! Zuzuche platform, please inform customers who are about to rent from Thrifty in the US that this company has fee traps in their pick-up, drop-off, and toll payment services. They keep pushing insurance and additional products when picking up the car, and the attitude becomes extremely rude if you don't buy. They deliberately delay the return processing time to charge an extra day's late fee!

Thrifty overbooked their rental cars, which caused we waited more 2 hours. The staff solicited me to raise cost to upgrade car & get car soon, otherwise there will be 2 more hours waiting. I provided my phone number to get their notice. After 2 hours waiting by the counter, they did not inform me the car was ready until I approached asked the staff, then he said my car was ready....

Need to sort out the pick-up experience to achieve the best rating
We had to wait ages to pick up the car. I was only 3rd in the queue but waited over an hour - it seems the Thrifty staff spent ages trying to upsell each customer, hence the wait. By the time I was seen, the queue was around 20 people long and growing. By contrast, the drop off procedure was swift and efficient and the car itself was as ordered and expected
