Just when I lost hope, on November 5th, I received an email saying the other company had clarified the charges and was preparing to refund the extra amount. Many thanks to the QEEQ team for their persistent efforts!
Some suggestions: 1) It's better to buy full insurance for high-end cars as they check very meticulously and don't miss any details; 2) It's best to document any damages because they won't tell you on the spot how much you will be charged; 3) As an individual, I might not have been able to reclaim this money. In past rentals, I've always ended up paying more than the initial quote without knowing why. This time, the billing was clear and transparent.
