It's better not to pick up the car at JFK Airport in the future. There were less than 10 people ahead, but I waited for an hour and a half. The efficiency is very low. However, Avis resolved the issues promptly. At one point, the tire was flat, and they quickly solved it at another location.
When I arrived at AVIS, there were 10 groups of customers in line (each group might have 2 or 3 people with one rental order), but only one counter was open. About 10 minutes later, a second counter opened. It took an average of 15 minutes per group, which was very slow. I waited over an hour for my turn. I hope AVIS can increase their staff to speed up the process when there are many customers waiting in line. Because of the long queue and limited counters, I couldn't inspect the vehicle for damage when I picked it up. Later, AVIS claimed I had an accident and scratched the car, which wasn't true. Since I had full insurance, I'm now waiting for further processing after receiving an email from AVIS about the damage.
I clearly told them no additional insurance was needed because I am familiar with the route, only requested Epass, yet they still added $115 insurance. It seems they are deceiving Chinese customers!
