Very satisfied. The pick-up and drop-off process was smooth. Service staff were warm, patient, and friendly, staying until we had completed the rental.
The check-in was fast and efficient, much better than with other car rental companies. Car was almost new and clean, although a bit smaller than anticipated (a Fiat Tipo instead of a wolkswagen Touran). Checkout very fast and efficient.

Very smooth booking and good website. Nothing to complain about
“I thought a car would suffice, but required a mini-Van instead”

Like: The service at the rental office was friendly and very good. We were a large group of 5 adults and 4 children, who had booked 2 station wagons. The lady at the pick-up office saw our luggage (which we considered typical for US / Canadian families) and pointed out, correctly, that it would not fit into the cars we had booked, along with the passengers. I guess North American ideas of "medium" sized cars is different from European ones. She offered 1 car as booked, and offered a 9 seater mini-van instead of the 2nd car. The additional charge was very reasonable (80 Euros for 5 days) and the swap made so much sense for us in the end. Very good service, and all was handled with the least amount of fuss or hassles. Dislike: At the time of drop-off, I did pay a steep fee (45 Euros) for not refilling the gas to full. This fee was in addition to the cost of the fuel, which was also charged at a premium. I suggest that you should leave enough time to get a refill before returning the car to avoid this.
On the third day of renting the car, it broke down in Siena and was towed away. Without any local office, I couldn't get a replacement or return the car there. After returning the car in Florence, the usual return procedures were not followed, and I was told to wait for the towing or repair bill. Upon returning home, the remaining rental fee was deducted without prior notice and has not been refunded for several months.
I booked an automatic MPV, but when I got to the counter, they said they didn't have it. If I didn't want to wait, they offered me a manual car and wouldn't refund the difference. Ended up waiting almost an hour for someone to return a car, and only got a hatchback Golf, charged at MPV rates! No explanation, even after contacting the car rental company, no one answered the phone.
Chinese driver's licenses must be accompanied by a notarized Italian translation from the Chinese Embassy in Italy to rent a car. This requirement was not clearly stated, causing inconvenience.
