On the first day, the service attitude was terrible and wasted 3 hours of our time. They initially said an international driving permit was required and that a Chinese driving license was not acceptable. After consulting with the manager and checking the documents, they said it could be done but that personal third-party insurance was required, and the insurance documents needed to be provided! It was an unreasonable demand! Fortunately, we had a temporary green card, which allowed us to proceed. In all my years of renting cars, this was the first time encountering such an unreasonable demand! It took from 11:00 PM until 2:30 AM the next day to complete the process!

Hassle free. I'm extremely satisfied. Clean and reliable car. Keep up the good services. Very efficient at both the front desk as well as at the garage. Picking up and Returning car was so easy in Chicago O'hare Airport.

The online application was easy to use and reliable. My enquiry was promptly answered for me to finalize the booking. I took advantage of the promotion and the offer was genuine. I will use this site again for car rental.

I had paid for full insurance and the clerk didn't show any insurance and I paid for everything at the time of reservation and the clerk also didn't show any payment, I tried showing the clerk my email confirmation but the clerk didn't want to see it and told me she didn't show any of that information in her system.

There was an issue when returning the car, and it was not resolved.

At the car pick-up, they briefly asked about the chosen model but did not specifically mention that it was not the one I selected. Having just gotten off the plane and queued for a long time to clear customs, I was too exhausted to deal with it. During the car return, I had some questions about unclear charges, and the staff very patiently explained them to me.

Great little car. The counter guy tried to up sell me features that were included in my rental. Scumbag move.

Unhappy with mandatory insurance, paid an extra $400 unexpectedly

The waiting time was too long, and they forcefully sold insurance. Very bad experience. Remember, I won't use this company next time.

it was quite disappoint that the car supplied was a Tahoe, not a Yukon as ordered. I know this is simular as stated. but they we were told Thrifty don't even offer a Tahoe. so why even display they car for hire if not even available. also car was supplied to us quite dirty on the inside. we had to stop and clear the side windows as the passages in the rear couldn't see out of the windows.

Great service, smooth pick-up process

Choosing the model and price on the app is crucial. I didn't realize they were not the same rental company. When returning the car and renting another one, I was informed it was a different company. I had to walk a long distance from one rental company to another. When returning and renting a car at the same time, the app should have a notification feature!

Well, other than the long wait, the fact that it appear that the rental agent may have used my credit card for personal purchases while I was waiting at the counter, everything was pretty much OK. I hope that you actually read that the way in which I wrote it. I'm not 100% certain that it was the Thrifty agent, but I do know that an unauthorized purchased was made with my card around the same time I was at the counter. And that I hadn't used that card for 2 weeks prior to that date.
