Thrifty is very close to the airport, with an airport shuttle available that takes about 3 minutes. Since we arrived on an early flight, there were not many people in line at the store, and we were served directly.

The rental process was not particularly fast, but overall service efficiency was okay, and the staff's attitude was also fine.

They just closed, saying they were celebrating Christmas and told us to come back the next morning. This was very untrustworthy and they didn't inform us in advance, making us stand in the cold for over an hour trying to contact them. We had to rent a car at the airport in the end.

The process is not very complicated, but you must be prepared with a credit card. We used to rent cars with a debit card, but this company only accepts credit cards, which caused us some trouble when renting.

It was my own fault; this company is located at Reykjavik Domestic Airport, not the international airport where my flight landed.

The return process took too long, almost missed our flight.

Poor vehicle condition, no other options available

Since we arrived at 11 PM, there were not many people, the process was fast, and we got a bigger car than initially booked, a Ford 9-seater, which we were quite satisfied with. There was no insurance upsell and returning the car was smooth, and it seemed there was no deposit required.

Very good service, whenever we called, someone picked up immediately. The cost is more favorable compared to other companies, and the people are very nice.
