European is giving second disappointment. First, car air conditioning broke down and requires car be changed giving us inconveniences. Second, car was not at designated location although it had been confirmed via email.

You guys are prompt. Email was replied in a very short while. Keep it up.
The car pickup was fairly smooth, the counter was easy to find, and they took us to the car for inspection. Returning the car was extremely troublesome; we couldn't find the parking lot at all. We circled the airport several times and, in the end, couldn't figure it out. We gave a policeman 50 MYR to lead us back. We had less than two hours left to catch our flight.
Car was ready for me when I arrived and the staff was very professional. Delayed was caused by the card limit on my debit card.

Very straightforward to book. Only portion that wasn't clear was on after choosing partial payment, realised that using debit card could cause an inconvenience. Else, very efficient website with good bargains.
“Bad experience from the counter staff who inspected the vehicle at drop off.
Given an old scratchy c”
About Europcar:5.0/10
The car given was an old car; may be 10 years old model with lots of scratches. As our flught to KUL was delayed by 4 hrs, we could pick up the car after midnight. Though we, me and my father, managed to make the staff mark many scratches on the vehicle at night, it seems a couple of scratches were not marked. This was pointed out by the EuropeCar staff at drop off, who treated me & father badly. The scratch seemed rusted and atleast 2 months old. We are frequent travelers and this is the first time ever we were treated as if we did some grave mistake, that too after giving us an old car with lots of scratches. The staff who spoke to us rudely commented that he will check with EuropeCar management before releasing MYR 1000 taken as deposit.
Please take this up with them and kindly help to get us the deposit without delay.
Thanks

The driver seat was tilted and uncomfortable, eventually giving me back pain.
No shuttle to the terminal us a big obstacle. I was almost late to my flight.
Return address was not clear!!!
Completely dissatisfied!! It was mentioned that there would be Chinese customer service, but I could never get through on the phone. We had a language barrier. When we returned the car after it got damaged, we were charged an additional 600 MYR on our credit card without any notification, even though the damage assessment was done on-site and we agreed to it. Two hours after we left, they charged us again claiming the initial amount wasn't enough for repairs. They should have informed us. We had already checked repair costs locally, and the initial assessed amount was sufficient. It's been a month, and this issue is still unresolved. While it was our fault the car got damaged, they should communicate any additional charges. It's irresponsible! I advise everyone against renting from this company. The process is super slow, the office is hard to find, and there's a significant language barrier. Their English isn’t even proper English.

About Europcar:10.0/10
It's a major chain company. We've rented from them several times in different countries. Picking up and dropping off the car is convenient, and the service is always good.
This was a terrible car rental experience. The staff took advantage of the language barrier and did not follow the inspection process at the time of car delivery. They deceived us into signing the confirmation. When returning the car, the staff claimed that small scratches on the car were caused by us and withheld 382 MYR. As we were in a rush to catch our flight, we didn't have time to argue and communication was difficult. We had no choice but to accept our bad luck. We will not rent from this company again. Additionally, when picking up the car, they repeatedly tried to make us cancel the insurance we bought during rental and purchase insurance from them instead. Only after my firm insistence did they back off. Poor service!
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
