Pick-up Instructions

The Autounion - Auckland Airport car rental location is located out of the airport

Please call 0064 99490944 once you have reached the arrivals area at the Auckland airport and have collected your luggage. Our shuttle will pick you up from the Airport. Please look out for a marked Auto Union shuttle bus. For International arrivals: Exit the main terminal and make your way to the Transport Pickup Zone where the shuttle marked 'AutoUnion' will collect you. The covered walkway begins directly opposite the international arrivals area with clear signage to guide you to the transport pick-up zone. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. For Domestic arrivals: shuttle area is just outside door 8 of Jet Star Terminal. Online check-in is mandatory for after-hours pickups. Please email us 24 hours prior to pick up on 'accounts@autounion.co.nz' to do the online check in if you are arriving after 7pm or before 7am. Local Tax Free Phone: 0800 22776468

Autounion does not allow to bring the rental vehicle to ferry. You will drop off your car at one port and collect another after crossing to the other island. A minimum of 3 days consecutive rental required in each island (If the minimum length of rental requirement is not met, then the rental will be charged as two separate hires.).

特にAutounion 自体に問題はありませんでした。問題はQEEQの資料に書いてあったAutounionの住所が間違っていたことです。車返却の為に早朝ナビの案内に従って行ったら、全く違う所に到着しました。そこにいたトラックの運転手に住所を見せたらここに間違いないという。QEEQに記載の住所が間違っていることが明確になり、私達は大変焦りました。帰国フライトは10:05で余裕なし。やむを得ず近くを走り回って偶然Autounionを見つけて事なきを得ました。但しこれはQEEQの問題でAutounionの問題ではないと思います。

Great experience, very honest. I didn't inspect the car at pickup, and at return they found a crack in the glass. I was a bit nervous since I didn't buy extra insurance, but the staff who handled my rental quickly clarified that it was caused by the previous renter and assured me it wasn't my fault. This shows the company is very trustworthy. Kudos!

The service attitude was mediocre. There was only one person handling procedures, and another person said he wasn't on duty. He saw me waiting and offered to assist. However, when he saw that I arrived an hour earlier than scheduled and refused to pay an additional 25 SGD, he told me to wait for his colleague to complete the paperwork. Later, the colleague also asked for the extra fee but gave me the car without charging after I insisted on waiting. Nonetheless, he just handed me the keys and I had to find and inspect the car myself. The car condition was poor, so I returned to the office and got a better one. The return process was smooth, and I returned the car an hour early, so it evened out. Haha.
