The process took a long time and there were many people waiting. The vehicle was different from the one we reserved; they gave us a 9-seater van, which was very inconvenient for navigating through the small towns in Italy. Additionally, our drop-off point was in the center of Palermo, requiring us to pass through the ZTL zone, for which we had to pay an extra 5 euros. They neither provided a service to remove the charge nor sold the tickets for it.
The whole process was extremely disappointing. We booked an Audi Q7, but upon arrival, they required two credit cards for the guarantee. Since we only had one credit card, they refused to provide the vehicle. In fact, we later checked the airport parking lot, which was not large and didn't have a Q7 at all. This was further confirmed the next day during our communication; the model simply doesn't exist, which made the whole scenario feel deliberate. The receptionist, named Claudia, had a very poor attitude and gave us a manual transmission vehicle while charging us for an automatic Audi Q7. After nearly two hours of negotiation, we finally received an automatic Japanese car at a reduced rate. By this time, it was already midnight, and my three-and-a-half-year-old child had been waiting in the cold for almost two hours. I want to know if this issue stems from miscommunication between QEEQ and Hertz, or if QEEQ sold us a non-existent model. I expect an explanation from QEEQ.
“smooth booking process but vastly excessive delays both on pick up and drop off. Disappointing”
About Hertz:6.7/10
I waited just over 2 hours to pick up my vehicle. Then the seat belts weren't set up properly leading to further delays. Despite the best efforts of the staff who were friendly and helpful, they just couldn't cope with the volume of demands placed on them. Also vehicle drop off was a 45 minute wait, very disorganized and not enough staff. again staff were friendly and helpful but overwhelmed with customers to deal with. It was very disappointing and I will NOT choose Hertz again because of this.
