Well well, firstly what was advertised was $89 per day plus insurance. When I got to Atlas rental the lady behind the counter proceeded to explain why I was an idiot to use easyrent cars platform. Then proceeded to charge me an additional $300 for insurance and extras. Overall, poor service, poor 3rd rate experience. As someone whom travels extensively and rents vehicles on a regular basis I won’t be using Atlas again - furthermore, I ended up with two insurance policies for a 2 day car trip and paid $400 for these - crazy. Anyway the trip was good, however atlas (no thank you)
The manager Karen/jelly (sorry) has been nothing but wonderful to us! Even upgraded our vechile free of charge!
Definitely will be contacting her again for future visits.
We booked and got confirmed for a Toyota Camry, however when we picked up the car we got offered a Pulsar. So the front counter staff said he would get the manager to call me on the next day but I never receive any. He said he would expecting a Camry to be returned next day and would call but never happen but eventhough he should give me a refund credit for being offered a smaller car. In fact he tried to persuaded me to believe that Pulsar is similar to a Camry !! Until I said to him I used to live here and I bought a Pulsar in 1996 then he stoped.
Anyway the whole experience was bad.
The distance from the airport was unclear, and there were no clear instructions on where to wait for the shuttle. After making numerous calls to customer service, I finally found out where to wait, but the shuttle took a long time to arrive. At the rental office, there was only one person working, who was overwhelmed and it took a long time to get the car. When I wanted to return the car a day early, I called the local office during business hours but no one was available. They told me to wait for twenty minutes, but I waited for an entire hour with no contact. I eventually had to call customer service again to get in touch. Such a waste of time!!!!
Extremely dissatisfied. At Gold Coast Airport, you need to walk for 10 minutes to reach the designated spot, where there is no office or staff, only their van. You have to call the number on the van and wait 10-15 minutes for them to bring the keys. They take credit card information from the contract and charge it 2 hours later. They also collect a 350 AUD deposit, which they said would be refunded automatically upon return without swiping the card again.
Service was fantastic! Didn’t catch the NZ lady’s name that dealt with us but she was awesome & very friendly. The vehicle itself was fantastic & cleanliness was spot on! No problems whatsoever and when we come back to the Gold Coast I’ll definitely hire again through atlas! I recommend 100% THANK YOU :)

The rental shop is too far from the airport. After leaving the airport, I couldn't get in touch with the pickup staff by phone and had to ask QEEQ customer service for help. It took half an hour to finally get in touch. The car I got was a two-door Toyota, which was quite small and old, and it came with only half a tank of gas. They said they were too busy to fill it up. When returning the car, it was hard to control the refueling amount and I ended up adding too much fuel.
The rules say that the security amount will be refunded within 10 working days.It will be more than 10 weeks, Even though,I didn't get back my refund.Whenever I contact customer care,they promises that the security amount will be 2 business days..They said to me like 8 times..But no use.Try to get back my money.thanks.
We didn’t expect that our credit card would be debited by about $400 as a “hold’ until after we returned the car. And then to have to wait up to one week to have this amount transferred back onto our credit card seems unreasonable.
Sure just a ho,d on the card would have been all that was required. Being on a tight budget we really needed that amount for our holiday
Staff was very helpful and pleasant to interact with, appreciate everything. I needed to call the general landline to get instruction for pick up and drop off and was helped very quickly. It's great that a text message was able to be sent regardless of the country my number/sim was linked to. Very happy with my experience!
