It was our first time renting from Alamo. The process was quick, we didn't have to wait in line. The staff was very professional and friendly. We crossed borders into Bosnia, Serbia, and Montenegro over 22 days. The rental company charged us a 50 Euro border fee. We met other travelers who were charged 60 Euros for crossing just one border. Alamo seems more reasonable. Towards the end, we scratched the car door at a guesthouse. It was a big scratch but didn't need bodywork, just paint. We talked to the staff about insurance, but they said it was fine, no need to worry about it.

Others we met on the road said they were charged 60 euros for crossing just one country. Alamo seems to be more reasonable. Towards the end of our trip, we scratched the car door at a guesthouse. It was a noticeable scratch but didn't require panel beating, just some paintwork. We spoke with the staff when returning the car, and they said it was no big deal and not to worry about it.

When returning the car, other company staff were assigned for inspection and scammed me out of 10 euros for a basic car wash (just sprayed the exterior with water without wiping, and didn’t clean the interior at all) in Montenegro.

The GPS option was excess because the car had navigation system. It was better to explain about that at the counter.

The staff responsible for the car inspection during pickup was very meticulous in noting any issues. He also helped with luggage during dropoff and was very patient and kind. The only concern was that the pre-authorization hold was a bit high, possibly due to the car model. Hopefully, the authorization can be finalized quickly.

It would be much professional (and relaxing) if the company would send us a confirmation mail or SMS after getting our car and keys back.

The female staff member had average professional qualities.

First time renting a car in Europe. The car was relatively new, and the staff were very friendly in teaching me how to use it.

I rented a Range Rover Sport but got a Grand Cherokee. Are these really in the same category? A car that sells for over a million yuan compared to one that can't even sell for 300,000 yuan in China? Even in the UK and US, they're not considered the same level. If you're basing it on interior space, then my Haval could be compared to a Cayenne or Range Rover. How is this the same category?

The car hire desk was really easy to locate. It didn’t take long to be served and everything was clearly explained. The car was clean and fairly new and everything went smoothly. A staff member was in the car park waiting to meet us when we returned the car.

It was easy to book and a great price!

The staff was friendly but did nothing to try to correct the car I was given.
