CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS IN TAMPA

They are super slow in Tampa! Rented 2 times from them within 3 weeks and it was the same thing both times. Lots of staff but no one dosing anything, chewing gum with open mouth and no action. Very very inefficient! People weee getting angry in line! If you don’t like waiting in a never ending queue, rent somewhere else!

Their road side assistance was terrible. I will never recommend AVIS to anyone. I had a tire blowout & I was sitting in the car for over 2 hours on a busy highway & no one turned up. Terrible experience.

The car was old and tired and therefore expensive for what it was.

There was sweet wrappers in the car and it did not appear to have been cleaned, I had antibacterial wipes so gave it a quick clean inside and got rid of the rubbish , at the desk the assistant tried to upsell the car and it took me a few no thanks to continue the booking, the car drove well and it was easily dropped off at the end

No price drop so I cancelled and rebooked to get a better deal

A few small bumps & scratches on the car. Inside was clean. Staff tried to upsell with insurance & fuel prepay.

Platform worked well, advice on dealing with counter staff helpful to avoid the extra charges. Good price.

Condition was good - only minor issue was a warning light showing missed service on for whole trip. Counter staff very helpful and friendly.

The car was ok but not what I expect from Avis who I see as the premier car rental company

We were delayed by a number of hours but still very efficient and convenient pick up and we were given a free upgrade which was amazing

When I got to Avis, they had no customers waiting and had 5 people all standing having a chat. They kept me waiting for 5 minutes before one of them asked one of the other staff to serve me. It looks like good old American Customer service has gone out the window.
