They deliberately leave damage under the car to charge extra. I was charged for the entire bumper for a single scratch.

The car wasn't picked up at the airport; we had to take their shuttle bus to a nearby store to get the car. When we arrived at the airport, their store was too crowded, so they asked us to come back to the airport counter in 20 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes at the counter for the shuttle bus to take us to the store to pick up the car.

Like: Although the car was not a recent model and had a high mileage (over 110,000Km) it was clean and well presented, it suited my needs very well.

Arrived around 7:30 PM, no need to queue. Car pickup took about 20 minutes, fast and efficient.

Complicated process

The staff at the rental point did not speak Chinese when I picked up the car. After a brief English introduction, they asked me to sign. However, when I returned the car, a staff member who spoke Chinese was quite helpful.

Excellent service. There was a minor scratch, and the rental office staff helped handle it without going through insurance, at no extra cost!

At Don Mueang Airport, you can't use credit cards starting with a 6. You have to go to another airport to use them. The car return instructions are unclear.

Car pickup and return were very quick.

Like: Avis counter is located directly outside the baggage claim (if you land in the main terminal). The process was quick and the car was already parked outside ready for us.
Dislike: When leaving, we were going through the other terminal and there were no visible signs about where to return the car. I drove around the airport 3 times until someone directed me to the parking lot. Even after driving into the parking lot, it was difficult to spot the Avis signs and teams. Once I got there, I had to return the car and then return the forms to the counter inside the terminal (which was time consuming and inconvenient). There should be ONE place to return the car and forms, or someone should have done this for me.

The counter is right at the exit, very noticeable. No queue, very convenient!

They wrongly withheld my deposit and took three months to return it.

When picking up the car, it took 20 minutes possibly because the vehicle wasn't ready. However, the rental process was simple and quick, and the staff were friendly for both pick-up and drop-off. The 11-seater petrol manual van was upgraded for free to a diesel automatic. Excellent! Very satisfied with this rental experience.

They enforce mandatory compensation for scratches without a fixed standard. Even a tiny scratch requires paying for the entire bumper.
