I was to pick the car up around 10am. After getting off my flight and waiting in line at dollar rental they did not have my suv ready although it was 45 min. past they time it should have been was told it would be at least another 20 -30 min. I ended up with a Camry which is smaller and they would not adjust the price.
The car rental counter took exceptionally long, due in large part to the manager refusing to allow his staff to use vehicles in the system. Instead, he ran around outside "preparing" cars and the staff used a walky talky to communicate car information and selection. Plus, the manager was rude to his staff. His staff was quite personable and professional, despite being treated so poorly.

They should list that airport fees are exorbitant and increase price by well over $100. Staff at the counter was VERY pushy on adding extras and really hassled me on adding unnecessary insurance options.
I would never rent from Dollar again. The entire customer experience was appalling. The representatives behind the counter were more interested in their personal conversations then actually doing their jobs. I learned more about their lives then how to use the EZ-Pass and the all the surcharges for the vehicle. The entire process took entirely too long and with all of the other options available I would think that a company would be interested in retaining customers. Also giving Dollar a value of 3.7 stars is a joke. 0 stars.
Always give the vehicle a one over even a 2nd & third over- it would be unfairly bad if a cust. is held responsible for the previous condition of the vehicle ex. cigarette ashes something that one could be charged for. Overall- I would rent again, was not disappointed ‘

I was completely satisfied with my Rental, ease with reserving including the p/u & rtng.
I was given a car less of what i rented for but they considered this is same category... asked me to pay more to get the one i chose.. i reported this to easyrentcare.... no answer.... price for similar car i got was too much and they did not care to credit me any or to lusten to my complaint.. was not good experience at all... next counter budget were so cooperate and i rented next day from budget what i want with lower price... if you go to thst airpirt do not rent from dollar.
The biggest and really only problem was the entrance for returning the car at Newark airport. It was non-existent.
Missed it. Followed great signage to the general area but nothing when it came to turning in. Very easy to miss.

It took far too long (more than an hour) to get to the service counter to be issued a car. The car was fine except it seemed to have loud snow tires at the end of May. These made the ride a bit rough.

No value form Price drop protector this time. But online booking process was very easy with good deals
Car was great, staff at checkout and drop off were great. Only thing that I wasn't expecting was checking the vehicle for damage and filling the vehicle report myself at pickup.
When I collected the vehicle at the counter I felt like I am dealing with a law enforcement officer!!! And when I returned the vehicle it took a while to get a receipt ... there was no one at the car return area, counter staff were busy ...
I will try to avoid Dollar in the future.
I rented the car based on your promised price of $55.18. When I got to the rental counter, the representative gave me a price of $80.55 for the same reservation I had made through you. I asked why the difference. Her response: taxes. I said taxes were included in the original reservation. When I refused to pay $80.55, she said she had no more cars and I was essentially stuck, just having completed a 24 hour trip, ending in Newark. So I took the car for $80.55 but am going to dispute the difference with my credit card company. When I returned the car and received an itemized receipt, it showed three separate amounts for various things like emergence road service, premium road service, etc. that I had never accepted, or even been asked to accept. The Dollar agent should be fired for her lies.
