Was told I only had to pay for partial gas. Returned the car with 7/8 tank of gas and got charged for the whole tank. I confirmed with the sleaze desk clerk before I left. He kept trying to flirt with me and I am married. Great car, worst service, and cost me a lot.
Returned the car without a full tank and got a huge fine. The car provided was very small, not sure if it was the model I reserved, but it was quite fuel-efficient.
I chose the Thrifty store near Portland airport, which is about a 4-minute drive from the exit. The store has a shuttle to take rental customers to and from the airport for free, ensuring no time is wasted. Upon arriving at the store, I handed over my rental documents. In 5-7 minutes, all the formalities were completed without any upselling. They only asked about my preference for the fuel policy. After getting the complete set of documents, they told me the location of the car. At this point, I inspected the car, set up the GPS, and familiarized myself with the controls. Though I booked a Ford Escape, I was given a Nissan Rogue instead. It was an all-wheel drive, responded quickly to the gas pedal, and was brand new with only 700 miles on it. Over the next few days, this car performed superbly whether on mountain roads or highways, with enough speed and power. When returning the car, the staff did a walk-around inspection and a once-over inside the car. After unloading our luggage, we waited at the drop-off point for the shuttle to take us back to the airport. The shuttle arrived quickly, and the return process took just 3 minutes.
Like: Friendly staff. I came earlier to pick off the car. No problem. Came half an hour later than expected to drop it off, no problem, no extra fee. I forgot a wallet (with no cash) in the car after dropp off, and they phoned me at the airport and I got it back within 15 minutes. Dislike: Actually, everything was perfect.
